Dear readers. Very exciting stuff indeed.
I got home from school today expecting to have the letter from PT waiting for me and SURPRISINGLY it was there! As soon as I opened it I wanted to savour the moment so decided to read it slowly and in order of the pages and not to skip on ahead to the good bit!
Long story short after a lot of reading, I'll be living and working in a small city in the Xinjiang province (very north and very south). Because it's so far away from central China I'll be mixing with people from Chinese Han to Kazak cultures - very interesting!
I'll be teaching in a school with around 3000 students and 200 teachers and classes of up to 60 people! After reading a blog of someone who went there in 2010/2011, I'm getting a very good idea of how it will be - the main thing I've picked up is how busy and mad it all is!
Regarding fundraising, I've now got over £4000 raised so I am so close now! I'm still planning to cycle from London to Paris to raise that last little bit and I've got various stalls in village fun days and things which will be fun!
I am really rather excited at the moment.
