Time for my monthly update!

Yesterday was a VERY busy day. Yesterday was the day for the piano concert I've been organising and planning over the past month. There was a lot to do - booking the venue (a very nice and big church which often holds music festivals), making the programmes, buying the wine, borrowing the glasses, moving the chairs and sorting out the piano hire/tuner. Luckily Chris (my piano teacher cum concert pianist) kindly donated the concert to me so we don't have to pay him at all! However saying that, we did get him a very nice case of wine to say thank you. But on top of all that we had to publicise the event so people would actually show up!
On the night we had a mixture of people come to the recital. We had people that I knew, people that Chris (my piano teacher and concert pianist) knew and people that nobody had ever met before but who saw adverts around town and in the paper.
All in all we raised around £950 but due to this being an expensive event to hold, the profit will be around £550. Still, it's a very nice figure to have in my money book!

Also by the looks of things, I haven't yet told you how I'm getting on with donations from the trusts I wrote to. So far about 40 out of the 84 I wrote to have got back to me saying they're sorry but no, but I've had 3 send me between £100-£250 each! Again, this is going to help me greatly and with everything I've done recently, I'm now up to my £3000 target! Yay for me.
