Quick update regarding letters to trusts and what I've got so far!

I had a non-pupil day at my Sixth Form on Friday so being the good, hardworking gal that I am, I thought I'd use the time productively! That basically means I sat down for the day personalising 84 letters to 84 different trusts, signing all 84 of said letters then writing 84 envelopes for the 84 letters. I thought it would only take a few hours but as you can probably tell, it really didn't. It was a long day say the least! But now it's done I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and hopefully some money will start rolling in!

I have also just about reached my first target of £1,500! Cause for celebration!

Cakes are a good way to go...

So last Sunday after Church, my Mum and many other people in the Five Parishes sold homemade cakes for the money to go directly to my funds. There weren't any set prices, just 'any donations will be greatly appreciated' and as I thought, the people gave and paid a lot! In the end of about 30 minutes' work, we managed to raise over £80! That's a lot of good cake!

Also, me and this other girl at my school who is taking part in Project Trust and will be going to Guyana (for more information on her, go to http://life-in-guyana.blogspot.com/2011/10/stepping-stones.html) have planned and organised a fundraising bake sale at our Sixth Form. From how well the after church sale went, I'm expecting great things when our cakes hit teens and hungry teachers!
